Career Assessment -Discover
your employment and job advancement possibilities through a
Career Assessment. Your interests, abilities, and work values
will be summarized in a personal profile to assist you in a
career search. You will receive an individual consultation,
assessment interpretation, and career guidance.
By appointment.
Job Search - This
five-hour one-on-one program includes resume preparation, skills
analysis, company research, and interviewing skills along with
other job search methodologies. By appointment.
Resume Preparation -
Create a professional resume that will open doors in the job
market. By appointment.
Correspondence Courses - High School
Graduation
- Each student must present a
letter of permission from an authorized official of the
sponsoring school at the time of registration.
- The student must pay the total
amount of (1) the course fee, (2) the one-time matriculation
fee, and (3) the $50 per semester course testing fee at the
time of registration.
- Each student is responsible
for attending the supervised number of testing sessions which
will vary according to the course taken and the credit amount.
- All work must be completed by
May 1. There are no summer sessions.

- Attend
ABLE orientation - call for dates and times
- Take the
GED Practice Test
- Complete
the GED Application
- Register
at the ABLE office for the Official GED Test
The GED Pre-Test is available Monday’s at
5p and daily between 9:00a-12:00p at MCCC, room 163.

test is given once a month at the Medina County Career
Center
- Limited
seating – Register early!
GED Eligibility and Procedures
Eligibility Requirements:
Ohio
Resident
19 years of age or older/under
19 requires permission
of school district
superintendent.
Application Procedure:

Submit an application (available at the Career Center) to the
State GED Office and a $55 money order or fee waiver form (ask
MCCC how to take the GED Test Free). No personal checks
accepted.

Two weeks after submitting your application, call the Medina
County Career Center (or your chosen site) to find out if your
application has been accepted at the State GED office. If you
are approved, register to take the GED Test.
