Minimum Requirements: |
|
Ability to obtain licensure in the State of Ohio
to teach the 173100 curriculum designed for
students pursuing a career in Power Equipment
Technology through the CTE-36 process. At least
five years full-time work experience in the
field of Power Equipment Technology, three of
which must be the most recent (or the equivalent
educational experience). Ability to teach and
manage a Power Equipment lab and theory classes,
teach technical skills in the lab situation and
instruct students in the theory related to the
Power Equipment field. Technical knowledge
including, but not limited to, maintenance and
repair of a variety of small engines, portable
power equipment, e.g. lawn mowers, motorcycles,
chain saws, rototillers, trimmers, and all
landscape/golf course equipment. Desire to
motivate and assist young people in setting
educational, social and behavioral goals.
Ability to communicate effectively both orally
and in writing. Sincere interest and a
commitment to work with students, parents,
staff, business partners, community
organizations, and associate schools. Team
player willingness to work effectively in a
team environment. |

Desirable Qualifications: |
|
Earned associate or bachelors degree. Current
license valid in the State of Ohio to teach the
173100 curriculum. Previous teaching experience
preferably in a career and technical setting.
Knowledge of instructional techniques and
classroom management. Current certification in
first aid. |

commensurate with experience and education |
